Wayfarer
When I set out to create this site/app, I had a clear vision of catering to the target audience of 21-30 year olds, with a focus on discovery and new adventures. To achieve this, I incorporated features that would be most beneficial to users, particularly the ability to share and favorite places with a heart icon, and the convenience of exploring nearby places with a map and pin icon. While contemplating whether to include titles on the app navigation, I decided to keep it intuitive for the user. Additionally, I ensured that the search function was prominent and easy to use, both on desktop and the app, to align with the keywords that I had identified. Aesthetic appeal was also a significant consideration, so I opted for a visually engaging, minimalistic design, with a color palette consisting of neutrals and a pop of cerulean
The client asked me to create a landing page for the web and three screen previews of an iOs mobile app for an investor pitch deck.
Wayfarer is a place for travelers to discover new locations to visit around the world.
The goal of the product is not to sell any trips/ flights or accommodations. Its sole purpose is a tool for researching where to travel next based on preferences - keeping that in mind through the design process was crucial and leaning into the 21 -30-year-olds who travel frequently and are in search of new adventures was a must when keeping design features in mind.
