Turning a gym's marketing into a
membership engine.
Social media strategy, email marketing, and a rebooted events program for a premier Houston fitness club — that drove a 67% membership increase and built a community of over 10,000 email subscribers.
Marketing that actually moved memberships.
At Fit Athletic Club, I led all marketing strategy and execution while simultaneously managing group fitness programming and a personal training roster. The role required balancing big-picture brand thinking with hands-on daily execution across social, email, events, and community.
The work I am most proud of here is the Fit Perks events program — a member-exclusive experience I rebooted from scratch, building local business partnerships to host curated events for members. The results were direct and measurable: a 67% increase in memberships tied to those events.
Members do not join gyms for equipment. They join for community. The events program proved it.
Each exclusive member event included guest passes distributed only at that event. When a guest signed up for a trial membership, they were tagged in the CRM as a lead sourced from the event. When they converted to a paying member, that conversion was attributed back to the event. Clean source tracking from the moment they walked in the door.
Community built. Memberships grew.
Three programs. One cohesive brand.
The toolkit.
